T Raj Tandoori Restaurant

Tried this restaurant last Friday & really enjoyed my meal. Not so keen on the Korai, only because it was a bit different to those I've had elsewher & the Saag my partner had was probably my least favourite ish on the table but overall, I thought it was good & would certainly have another meal there. Of the 3 indian restaurants I've tried since moving to the area its been the best meal. The quality of the lamb was exceptional, great flavours & cooking. My favourite indian restaurant is miles away now :( but Raj is def best I've had in Coulsdon so far. Try it!

This is a great Indian restaurant with great food and atmosphere. The waiters are always helpful and there is nothing to beat it. I have been coming here for years and I have nothing but praise.

I was shocked to read Louis Chin's review ...we have been eating at the T Raj for years and also been having take-aways for curry evenings at home with friends and have always been delighted with the food and friendly service. Can't imagine what could have upset Mr Chin so much

Well where to start! Overpriced, ridiculously poor service, ignorant and staff who know very little about customer service. Definitely not somewhere i would recommend unless you want to feel like you have been robbed and kicked in the teeth at the same time. The 'manager' i spoke to was incredibly unproffesional, unapologetic and seemed as though he'd rather argue then provide a good level of service. Working in customer service myself, i was left shocked and stunned by the outright rude nature of this little over rated hole in the wall. Normally quite open minded and easy going but this place is definitely one of the worst place ive been to! Fantastic place just up the road 'chipstead tandoori'. The only reason i put 1 star is because it was mandatory. No option to put minus marks!

I cannot agree with Tan (maybe he was from a competitor!). We have been going to T Raj for years - service is always friendly, food is good and it is excellent value for money. As a local Indian restaurant I think it is excellent.

I can't comment on the takeaway as we sat in the restaurant. Excellent friendly service, the food was 1st class - especially the chicken pakora from the starters. The tables weren't too close together and we weren't rushed. We'll have no hesitation in going back again soon.

I go here every week with a group of friends. There are other restaurants nearby so its not like the optiona are limited.
The food is excellent and the staff are friendly and attentive. Its not the cheapest curry in town but the price is well worth it for what you get.

We LOVE this restaurant! Great food, fabulous friendly staff - nothing too much trouble. We order from here a lot and wouldn't go anywhere else. Please don't listen to the person below it sounds as if he has an axe to grind.

Amazing service, delicious food and put a smile on my face everything is worth it i would recommend it to tourists and even towners.

Do not know what the person before I on about! Food in there is loverly and wouldn't order from anywhere else around the area!
