Sydney Pub Tours

Sydney Pub Tours takes adult travellers, of all walks of life, on a journey through some of the oldest and most charismatic pubs in Sydney. By way of historical content, and local folklore, the professional tour guide will not only inform, but entertain guests, as they venture deep into the heart of Australian Pub Culture, and experience, firsthand, how much these charming locations have shaped Aussie culture.

You will enjoy a boutique/handcrafted Australian beer, or a glass of fine Australian wine in Australia’s Longest Running Irish Pub, Sydney’s Oldest Hotel, and 3 pubs correctly claiming to be, Sydney’s Oldest Pub. You will visit the underground tunnel used for Rum Smuggling and Shanghaiing sailors, and see where a local bookie was murdered for drinking at the wrong pub. You’ll hear why Australia’s only military uprising was because of alcohol, how the Bubonic Plague affected the ‘taste of the beer’, and how the locals protested to save their pub, but lost their homes. You will also have the opportunity to sample kangaroo or crocodile meat on award winning gourmet pizza's.

This is a fully inclusive tour with nothing more to pay on the night. A perfect night out in one of the most beautiful cities in the world with dinner, drinks and entertainment all included. Group numbers are kept low to ensure everyone receives an intimate and personalised experience.

This is a walking tour with an average distance between pubs of 600m (.35 miles) with one small staircase. Total tour duration is 3.5 hours from 6pm, and run 5 nights a week, from Monday to Friday.

Private/Group tours, and Corporate Team Building tours are available on request, 7 days a week. Tours run in all weather conditions with a minimum of 1 pax, and a maximum of 25 pax per guide.
