Retro - Spec Insulation

At Retro-Spec Insulation we specialise in bringing older homes up to the latest thermal efficient ratings. We do this by installing new ceiling insulation or topping up existing insulation to bring it up to the current required R4.1. We install floor insulation starting with the standard R2 Polyester Floor Blanket but can also install floor insulation to a higher R value if desired. We use only floor insulation that is made as a floor product so that there are no issues with delaminating, moisture retention, mold, mildew, sagging and so forth. Retro-Spec Insulation can also insulate your walls retrospectively. We use silicone impregnated Rockwool. Rockwool has a history of great thermal, sound and fire rating. The silicone impregnation ensures that any moisture be it atmospheric or greater will not capillary across to the internal plaster sheeting, and also allows the walls to 'breath'. We also have window insulation available that works on the simple but very effective principle of reflecting heat either into your living environment during winter or outwards during the summer months.
