The original founder and main driving force of the last 50 years is Jim Thorne whose immense knowledge and experience has been passed throughout Prokil, creating a passion and dedication within the team.
We are a privately owned damp-proofing / timber treatment and building company with a dedicated team whose aim over the past 50 years has been to provide a fast, efficient and outstanding customer service, with comprehensive one-to-one dialogue and backup to clients throughout the South. This ensures our clients are fully conversant with our paperwork and the nature of any defects found during our damp and timber survey. We have attended thousands of domestic and commercial properties throughout the south, successfully controlling, curing and treating damp, rising damp, woodworm, dry rot, wet rot and all other forms of dampness, condensation and timber decay found in buildings.
Our Team of surveyors have undergone internal and external training to gain the necessary qualifications - namely BWPDA (British Wood preservations and Damp-proofing Ass.) & CSRT (Certificated Surveyor in Remedial Treatment) & CTIS (Certificated Timber Infestation Surveyor), enabling them to correctly diagnose a damp, rising damp, woodworm or fungal decay problem and to recommend the correct remedial measures of controlling or treating them. Our engineers are Certified in Structural Survey of Waterproofing - CSSW.
