The Obertrauner Hof ‘Home Style’ hotel, is set at the heart of the tranquil village of Obertraun on the Hallstattersee Lake, surrounded by the stunning Dachstein mountains, a little over an hour away from Salzburg.
The Obertrauner Hof ‘Home Style’ hotel is perfect for exploring the naturally diverse region of the Salzkammergut. With the historical village of Hallstatt, the Dachstein Ice Cave and stunning 5 Finger viewing platform, not to mention the many Walking & Biking routes of the Dachsteinwelterbe all on your doorstep. In Winter experience the thrilling off-piste ski world of the Krippenstein and the 140km of intermediate piste of the Dachstein West Ski region.

We offer a homely, relaxed and comfortable environment in 10 spacious en-suite rooms, many with balconies opening onto panoramic views of the Dachstein Mountains. Our position ensures easy access to local amenities; shop, bank, tourist office and restaurants, all of which are within easy walking distance. We are pleased to offer our guests free; Tea & Coffee, WiFi, Car Parking.
We are able to offer a selection of rooms to suit all budgets.
To minimise noise, there are no televisions in the rooms.
On each floor there are quiet seating areas, providing additional space for guests, beyond their rooms.
There are also coffee and tea making facilities on each floor.
On the ground floor you will find a spacious lounge area, equipped with a TV, a pool table and also a selection of hot and cold drinks.
For our younger guests we offer a separate Play Room with books and games etc.
The Obertrauner Hof is a non-smoking establishment.
We are pleased to offer our guests transfer services between Obertraun – Salzburg, Hallstatt, the Krippenstein, the Dachstein and Dachstein West ski area.
We have recently invested in a new Wood Pellets burning heating system, so reducing our impact on the environment.
We are also keen recyclers of cardboard, all cans, plastic bottles, glass, books, newspapers and magazines, using the facilities and services provided by the local authority.
