About Marianne Riley As a therapist, I strive to help people make new discoveries about themselves and what helps them overcome the obstacles they face. My clients trust me to guide them on their journey to achieve the goals they set for themselves. As someone who understands the transformative power of therapy, Im passionate about learning, listening, and bringing balance and wellness to the lives of my clients. I enjoy working with people from all walks of life, and if you or someone you love is going through a difficult time of disordered eating, depression, ADHD, anger, anxiety, or another mental health issue, please contact me to set up a consultation. I have over 9 years of experience working as a therapist in numerous settings with many populations, but primarily with children, teens, and young adults. I have also worked as an aide at a Monstessori School, been a professor for undergraduate students at American University, and currently work at an Outpatient Mental Health Facility specializing in children, teens, and adults. I have also published many articles for PsychCentral and PsychAlive, along with my daily blog posts which you can find here. I have been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy through the Beck Institute, have had play and art therapy training courses and work with children and teens where I integrate both of these aspects. I run group therapy and offer both a Girls Self Esteem/Body Image group (Spring 2017) as well as a group for Young Children with ADHD and their Parents (coming summer 2017). I also offer couple's therapy to parents or couples who may be struggling in their current relationship with one another. In my treatment process for you or your child, I will be integrating other professionals (if applicable) into the treatment plan.
