As the only marine reserve in Southern California, Laguna Beach is renown for its pristine waters, abundant sea life and beaches.
At Laguna Beach Inn you have access to hours of people watching and 100's of restaurants to try. Main Beach is a perfect destination for that. Or if you're looking to have a bonfire, head over to Aliso Beach (the county beach). To explore tide pools, Treasure Island is a must-see! For a pick-up game of volleyball, visit Main Beach or Thousand Steps Beach. Surfers paddle out at Rockpile (a surfing-only beach), Thalia or Brooks St, depending on the swell.
You should note that our beaches are open year-round from 5am-1am, and Aliso Beach is open from 6am-10pm. Dogs are allowed on city beaches before 9am and after 6pm between June 15-September 10, and during regular beach hours from September 11-June 14. Dogs must be on a 6' or shorter leash at all times.
