Introduction
Eleo's is a very popular city centre restaurant with a rustic charm. Old timber beams enhance the décor and provide for a Mediterranean style atmosphere. Having recently changed hands, the restaurant has now moved upmarket, with an exciting new menu featuring a wealth of mouth-watering dishes alongside more exotic choices such as the Portuguese "espetada" speciality, which comes to your table buttered and skewered, suspended on a hook above your place setting.
In addition, there is a also a variety of fish available such as roasted monkfish and sea bass or freshwater salmon. Make sure some space is saved for dessert though, as the traditional favourites of homemade sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream and white chocolate cheesecake must be tried. To accompany the meal, the restaurant offers an excellent selection of fine wines and Champagnes as well as an extensive choice of brandies.
The layout of the restaurant means that all occasions can be catered for, from a romantic meal for two to large celebratory bookings. As for the service, it is attentive yet friendly in style and nothing is too much trouble for the staff should any special requests be made.
