Boom! Costumes

Boom! Had a bit of a strange start if we’re honest. One of the co-owners had an idea of developing a GPS tracking collar for cats and dogs where the owner could track the pet’s whereabouts by using an app on their phone. After doing some research he found that they were already readily available from China at low prices so there was no point. During the research he came across costumes and fancy dress and then BOOM….the idea came about.

Boom! is run and owned by two Irish lads Troy Dunne and Paddy O’Dea. The two owners have an honest passion for all things fancy dress and treat the Halloween period like it was New Year ’s Eve. With a history in Telecoms and the service industry the two owners started the journey of setting up Boomcostumes.ie.

With Boom! They didn’t set out to change the world when it comes to selling costumes but their main goal was to do something a little bit different. From researching online fancy dress stores around the world they noticed a few things. 1) There was too much choice with pages of costumes that no one would wear 2) all the websites were full of cluttered pages and incredibly unfriendly to use 3) They were all carbon copies of each other.

During the development of the site and business they set out these rules that would make the user experience of our customer’s one of the best

Enough products to give a good choice for the customer but not too much to confuse and make their decision harder
A user friendly site would be easy to navigate and only be a few clicks away from what they are looking for
Competitive pricing for the full range to give value for money
Customer service would be the number priority above everything else…THE CUSTOMER IS KING.
Be engaging and informative through as many forms of media like social media and any other media outlet.

Boom! has never and will never want to have the biggest range of costumes, we believe in quality over quantity and we will stick to that.
